Yesterday, 16th of October, Paihia School had the amazing opportunity to meet Rebecca Brothers! She was an Olympic Swimmer. The reason why I said she was an olympic swimmer is because she is now a full time mum. It was such a special moment when she came to our school. She had talked to us about the importance of respect, friendship and excellence. Did you know, Rebecca Brothers has 114 medals? I bet you didn’t! I think Rebecca Brothers was here because she is an ambassador.
My favourite part of the visit with Rebecca Brothers was when she showed us a really cool video. I think Rebecca Brothers is so inspiring and I hope one day I could be like her. See you guys next week!
