Metaphor poems

In Te Ngahere we have been writing metaphors about ourselves. It started with everyone on a padlet and writing down metaphors about Te Ngahere, then we got onto a google doc and started writing about ourselves in metaphors, so it was a poem. The thing we were learning about was to use language features to help paint a picture in the reader’s mind. I think I did well at making the metaphors interesting. I think I could have done better at making the metaphors a bit more like me.  Hope you like my poem! :)

Tia is a waka, tackling the waves of work,Tia is a sunflower, that keeps rising higher,Tia is a honey sandwich that is very sweet,Tia is a computer, full of knowledge,Tia is a light blue that sometimes goes dark blue,Tia is a David Walliams book full of adventures,

I think your metaphor poem was great. My favorite metaphor was when you said you were tackling the waves of your work, I thought that was awesome. I liked the way you made all of your metaphors interesting. I did a similar blog post but I think yours is better.
