Take Aways ( food )

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about how we can stay healthy. In this session, Whaea Gina came in the class with a box with a label on it saying; Takeaways. We obviously knew we were learning about takeaways. Whaea Gina showed us a picture of a healthy heart, and an unhealthy heart. The healthy heart had some fat around it (it is OK if the healthy heart has a little bit of fat on it). The healthiest takeaway is Subway, which has o.5 teaspoons of fat in it. The unhealthiest takeaway is Carl’s Jr. It has 14 teaspoons of fat in it. We could` use this information in the future because if we ever got takeaways, we would know how much fat is in each one. Now we know that we shouldn’t have it every day. I think I did well at listening when Whaea Gina was talking about the takeaways. I think I could have done better at remembering ALL of the amount of teaspoons of fat there is in the takeaways.

  1. Kia ora Tia. It’s Tayla here I like your blog post about Takeaways. I like the way you said how much fat was in certain foods you did a great job explaining it. I also liked the way you said what you could do better.
What was the most interesting part for you? Great work Tia.
    Sincerely Tayla
